Hello;

I submitted my application for citizenship (single adult) on Jul 30, 2018 (that's the day it was received). I received, via e-mail, an acknowledgment of receipt on Oct 12, 2018. They started processing the application on Oct 18, 2018.

I decided to call IRCC yesterday, here's what the agent said:
--I've passed the "background" checks
--I'm on the "winning list"
--The application was sent to the Scarborough location, which is where my test will be

This seems like good news. But, does anyone know how long I can expect to wait before I'm called in for the test? The agent didn't know. Any insight will be appreciated. Thanks;

Hi

Please see below sheet for timelines

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...TeM2_AofgT_8b4uTJyBh9pXdg/edit#gid=1316748968

Good Luck

on the "winning list"? Are you sure it wasn't "wait/waiting list"? I have never heard of a winning list o_O
Other than that, the only resource we have is looking through the sheet (linked above). There are no absolute timelines, each process is different :)

Ha! That's probably right... Waiting list does make more sense. The conversation with the agent was in English, but he had a very strong accent Français - so that plus the fact that 'winning" sounded better in my head, made me think that that's what he'd said.

Anyway, I've looked at the spreadsheets and there seems to be a lot of case-by-case variability in terms of timelines, so I guess I'll have to be patient. Thanks for replying!

Anything in GTHA right now is 12+ months after the AOR! Hope that helps!

Either you heard it wrong or call centre agents are saying whatever to make people happy :D
