Hi!

I will be applying for the citizenship next month (for myself & spouse), just wondering is it better to send my spouse's application separately (in a separate envelope) ? I am being told to do so otherwise if any one of us fails the test then the other person will also have to wait.

Is this true ?

Please suggest the best bet (Application should be sent separate or together) ?

Thanks

Thanks!

Luckily i was able to get hold of the official statement by CIC.

SUMMARY:

Applicants will be informed of their results immediately following their test. Individuals who fail but have met all other criteria will be provided with a date to rewrite the test a few weeks later. Those who pass their test will be scheduled for a citizenship ceremony.

Apply separately so if any one has any issues e.g. RQ it doesn't hold up the process for all. Are you both able to prove on an individual basis 1095 days (3 years) of physical presence in the 4 years prior to the application date?

Thanks Msafiri!

Yes, both of us will be meeting the basic residency requirement (1095 days) next month.

Any update of RQ issuance since now the citizen application form has a check box to allow CIC to get details from CBSA. This should reduce the RQ issuance.....
