Hi all,

My citizenship application, which I had completed and mailed off on the 3rd of August, was returned with a letter saying that I should see the highlighted part in my application which indicates a missing answer. The highlighted part was question #14 (b). I forgot to check the box after "I hereby give my consent to the CBSA to disclose the details of my history of travel to IRCC..." The rest of the application form seems fine. The officer also already stuck my personal photo on the application form.

The instructions letter also said that there is no need to change the date on the physical presence calculator document.

So what I've done is that I used a pen to check the box next to 14 (b) which was highlighted by the officer as missing and I mailed back the same, old application along with the rest of the documents/application package.

Is that OK or should I have printed out a brand new application and signed it with today's date?

Please let me know if you have had similar experiences.

Thanks.

Hi, as long as the returned application is received by IRCC within 90 days of the date of your signature, you should be fine just checking the box and sending.
Just make sure your photos are also within the 6 month timeframe of when you took them.

If you do want to print out a brand new application, a benefit of that will be you will have a greater buffer of physical presence days. Up to you.

Good luck!

Thank you very much. I checked the box using a pen and resent. My photo was taken only in August so I should be good, hopefully. I can't wait for them to send me the AOR and schedule a test. I live in London, Ontario.
