Hi all,

I've been living in Canada for 3 years and 10 months, so I am going to apply for a citizenship in the beginning of October(or a bit earlier if C-6 residential requirements are implemented in September). Currently I live in Manitoba, but I am moving to Ontario in mid August. I have a few questions about required documents and will appreciate any help.

1) "Biographical page of passport(s)/travel document(s)". I immigrated to Canada from Ukraine, so I have 2 Ukrainian passports right now: national/internal passport and a passport for travelling. I am not sure about my internal passport. According to the application guide I have to provide translation of the biographical pages of all passports "since you became a permanent resident". Does it mean I have to make a photocopy and translate my national passport as well? I haven't been using it since I moved to Canada and there were no updates to any information in it. Do I have to provide photocopies and translation for the visas in my travel passport(I saw few threads about it on this forum)?
2) "2 pieces of personal identification (samples listed here includes passport as well)" - I will change my Manitoba driver's licence to Ontario's soon after moving to Toronto, so I will have one piece of personal identification before applying. However, I can apply for Ontario health card only after 153 days living in Ontario and I don't want to wait 4 months because of that. I found out today about Ontario provincial ID card. Does anyone have experience using this type of ID for citizenship application? Can I use my PR card as a second ID instead?
3) Language requirements. I have got LINC certificate 2 years ago and I know it's a valid proof of CLB level for Manitoba, but I am not sure about Ontario. Can I use the same LINC certificate in Ontario as well?
4) Is there anything else I have to do/consider before moving to another province from the point of view of citizenship application?

I am sorry if my questions are too simple. I don't want to delay application processing, so I prefer to ask even dumb & simplest questions beforehand to avoid any issues later. Thank you in advance.

Ans: You don't have to worry aboyt national passport, only passports used for international travel need to be presented! If there any visas and passport stamps during the relevant period(6 years if you are applying under C-24, 5 Yrs if under C-6) and if you want to be safe, translate all of them if they are not in English or French. I translated all of them, but the interviewing officer did not pay any attention at all and did not ask us to show the translations.
2) "2 pieces of personal identification (samples listed here includes passport as well)" - I will change my Manitoba driver's licence to Ontario's soon after moving to Toronto, so I will have one piece of personal identification before applying. Ans: Yes, PRC, You ON driver's license, and Passport would suffice
3) Language requirements. I have got LINC certificate 2 years ago and I know it's a valid proof of CLB level for Manitoba, but I am not sure about Ontario. Can I use the same LINC certificate in Ontario as well?
Ans: Citizenship is a federal affair, so you can use your LINC which has Canada wide validity.
4) Is there anything else I have to do/consider before moving to another province from the point of view of citizenship application?
Ans: No, as a PR you have all the rights to move freely within Canada.
