Hi everyone,
I am in the process of filling up the citizenship forms for myself and my two minor children. As I understand, a minor need not meet the physical presence criterion if the minor is applying along with a parent which is my case. I became PR in Dec 2019 and I meet the 1095 days physical presence criterion. My children became PR in April 2022 and have been in Canada for less than a year. While filling up their application, I came across the following question:-
1) Has the minor been outside of Canada for a total of 730 days or more in the past five (5) years OR since becoming a permanent resident ? " YES or NO , If yes give details
They have not been outside Canada for 730 days since becoming PR in April 2022. However, they have been outside Canada for more than 730 days in the past 5 years, before they became PR. Therefore, I was wondering whether to tick "YES" or "NO". Kindly advise.
Regards,
