I am from one of these regions but was not asked to provide FPP - I landed in 2012, applied for PR in 2010 under FWP, traveled to my home country for just 2 weeks since coming to Canada. There has to be some other criteria they are considering which we do not know the details of and hopefully will come to light soon. This cannot be purely random.

My only guess could be, under which FWP (the year) did you migrate to Canada - it could be that they had more stricter screening policy and the ones who came to canada with an older FWP are being asked to provide FP?

I came as an international student in 2009 and PR under PNP. We are 5 friends who have applied at the same time 3 are from east Europe and 2 are from the regions mentioned above. Only 2 from the regions above got FFP.

It is a local finger printing request. I noticed people from India PAkistan and Bangladesh, Afghanistan are the ones who get FPP. I have no travel history in past 6 years. Taxes paid. Stayed in only one place. Stable job and 6 figure income. Still FPP.. not sure why. As soon as they see your name and region FF request

May I ask if how many days do you get the FP request from CIC? I have been waiting for my documents but until now I haven't got yet. Any idea how many days? reply please. Thank you

It is a Fingerprints request. You will take it along with 2 IDs to any police office or RCMP or accredited commissionaire and they take your fingerprints. Anyway, it is explained in detail in the document.

My friend is from Calgary and recreived fingerprints request. However, the office who requested the fingerprints is from Vancouver. Should the office be in Calgary?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Lurker,

Me as well, the office was Vancouver. I think Vancouver office is the office handling fingerprint requests and background checks for Alberta and B.C.

Hello guys,

I have citizenship test in Scarborough office on November 24, this month.

I just received finger prints results today from police ( I was waiting since September 22 for this paper).

Where I need to send this FP results- to my office in St.Claire office in Toronto or to office in Scarborough?

Is it ok to send it by normal Canada post mail?

Please answer to me

Thank you

I did mine at here - I was told RCMP will mail the results to CIC st clair office.
