First of all congrats. on getting your test invite and secondly, our both office is Edmonton and my application got started before than you and I have not received FP and test invitation even. Do you think that do I have to contact to IRCC or adopt wait n see policy?

Thanks,
KUR761
It is not a first in first out issue with IRCC. It depends when they complete analysis of the file, I think. As for the FP, it is not mandatory that you receive it. The longer your wait, the more nearer will be the oath to the test. The shorter you wait before the test, the longer will be the period between test and oath. This is because there is a time for the background checks to complete

Hi elie72,

Some questions, hope to get help:
1. after in-processing, how long did you get FP request? or when did you get FP request? FP request only sent to you by postal mail? Any ecase shows related infor?
2. when your FP done? or when your FP sent to CIC?
3. Did you do FP at local RCMP or some company?

Congrats for your test invitation.
1- FP received after 3 weeks from in Process. Sent by postal mail. Yes when they send it ecas added a new line.
2- FP sent on Nov 01, received in my mailbox nov 06, made FP Nov 07.sent first to RCMP the RCMP will send directly to IRCC. It takes 3-4 days then you add the Canada post time, almost 10 to 12 days for IRCC to receive it after you make it
3- I did FP at a commissionaire adopted by IRCC

Many thanks, hope you will get your invite soon. As for the FP, it is related to background check dealt with from a separate office of the IRCC. Your local office studies and analyses the file from a residency viewpoint, and if everything is ok, they can invite for the test. It remains the background checks dealt with from another office. When both are done, then they can invite for oath. Good luck and hope you will get your test invite very soon.

Looking forward to it Ellie72. All the best for your forthcoming test. Thanks for the shed of light.

I disagree because in my wife’s fingerprints they said they stopped processing and will resume processing once they get fingerprints in a month’s time.

They asked fingerprints request after 3 weeks of processing and it is almost 4 weeks after Fingerprints done.

Hi guys,

I had my test+interview on Nov 2, 2017.

During the interview, one of the stamps on my passport did not line up with my list of absences, and because I had quadruple-checked everything, I got very nervous in front of the case officer and almost froze, and couldn't respond (I kept thinking, how did I miss that!)

The officer said she would have to send my file for extra due-dilligence :(

Later when I got home and calmed down, I realized that the stamp was a mistake from the Border Agent (they used a stamp from the day before my actual entry - Actual entry was June 1st (2 a.m.) and the stamp was May 31st.) In my application, I put it my actual entry as June 1st, and even my customs card said June 1st.

So as far as I know, all details on my application are true and the stamp was an error by the border agent. does anyone know of anybody in a similar situation and what I should expect?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks! I have a lot of frequent entries and exits, but I take short trips to the States (4 to 6 days) and longest trip was 14 days.

Hi kmnp,
Have you preserved the actual boarding passes? Those may be helpful in this case.
Is it possible that you started travel from the origin on one date and when you reached your destination the date had been changed?

Hi! thanks for your reply. That is a good idea, I think I still have the boarding pass and the ticket in my email.

And yes, the flight was scheduled to land May 31st, but due to delays it ended up landing after midnight, so the date changed to June 1st. Unfortunately the stamp wasn't changed by the officer.
