I have holidays booked for the overseas in the first week of January 2017 for 3 weeks. I am wondering if all the journey of maple leaf pp can be complete by then.

Did you have to do FP too?

Yes, The letter was date 18 of October Received on 20th of October, did it at The 24th of October and the result was forward to the CIC office in St. Clair in Toronto on the 25th of October.
I called the CIC office they received the fingerprint but the agent didn't open the fingerprint result so it is still requested (not received in the system although they have it). I think there is a timer or something like that they won't open the file unless the alarm beeps

I have a question what is the different between the clearness result and security result, to me they sound the same

My time line is:
Nearest Visa Office: Mississauga
Application received : August 28
AOR: October 13
Waiting for the third line.....

I am wondering why are they taking so long to send my application to the Visa office?
Many September Applicants have their applications already "In Process".
Any idea, what processing do they do between the AoR and the "In Process"?
What can I do to move my application to the next step?
Your thought and guidance will be greatly appreciated.

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on August 17, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on September 19, 2017.
3. We started processing your application on September 28, 2017.
4. We sent you a notice on October 27, 2017 to appear and write the citizenship test on December 14, 2017 at 10:00 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

I doubt it. I assume you mean January 2018? Where are you at? Have you done your test? You can always inform them about your holiday plans. I have done it and it worked for me.

Normally they give atleast 2 to 3 weeks advance notice for the the test/interview. I think you should be okay. However, if you receive a two weeks notice immediately after leaving, you may have to change your travel plan.

To play safe, you can inform CIC about your plan so that they do not schedule your interview during that period.

Hello, new member here. Received an email yesterday, Oct. 31, inviting me for citizenship test (Edmonton Office) for Nov. 22. When checking on ecas though, there is no update. I'm wondering .. Should I be receiving a mail notice as well? or email is the only correspondence I need?
