How much time does it take normally for the whole procedure? for a family of 5? Do kids also need to make the oath?

It takes about 2 - 3 hours depending on the content of the ceremony. Kids under 14 don't need to take the oath although they are encouraged to attend. All the instructions will be in the email they'll send to you

alright, I filed my uncle application (over 65) in Jan2021 and now he is scheduled ceremony on Nov09,2021 LOL. My app filed Dec 09,2019 and DM june16,2021 still now LOL. feeling they are clearing 2020APP before 2019APP. I got an update on Sep23,2021 maybe my security/criminal was expired and they redo something. LOL

It went well. Just over 90 of us from 13 countries. Judge was from Winnipeg. It took just over an hour in all. The ceremony itself was about 20 minutes but registeration made it longer

Hey there, it took less than 2 hours. there were 95 people altogether. the actual process was less than 30 min plus the registration and waiting time.


on that note, congrats to everyone who became Canadian citizen yesterday!
