I applied for citizenship in November 2011 having met the residence requirement in May of the same year. We received the book in January 2012. They started processing our file in September 2012 and on Sept 9, they sent us a letter requesting fingerprints. Our status online has not changed since that status update was done on September 09, 2012. On August 30, 2013, we received a phone call from cic for us to go take our citizenship test on Thursday September 5. We were the only ones without an invitation letter there and we took the test and passed. They advised everyone there that they were scheduling oath ceremonies for within the next 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. Everybody who passed left with an invitation to the oath ceremony except us. Ours was processed differently. We were told that they would call us and sure enough, on Monday, Sept 9 we received a phone call and we were invited to the oath ceremony on Thursday Sept 12. So we will be taking the oath tomorrow afternoon

Do you have any sense as to why yours was processed differently?
