citizenship application delay

Hi everyone
I submitted my citizenship application on January 2019 and I have received the conformation on March 29 2019 since that there is no update or any explanation about my application I did web form 2 times it does not show any details or reason why my application still on Hold , I called the immigration and refuge department like 10000000 times the only think they said is Covid covid covid also I contact the MP here in my neighborhood and I was waiting for his call in the end he called me he said because covid that is why I was like ok thank you hahahahah
so please guys does any one has the same situation or went through all this ballshit let me know what I have to do ...?

Your only options are

• Contact your MP ( if they are not helpful, contact another one)
• Contact the minister or IRCC Sean (sean.fraser@parl.gc.ca)
• and CC or send it to --> ircc.ministerialcorrespondence-correspondanceministerielle.ircc@cic.gc.ca and CC sean.fraser@parl.gc.ca
  • Or send the email to Sean and that IRCC email all at once.
• Submit a Webform and ask why your file is delayed, and ask for it to be escalated to a supervisor as you have not received any helpful details
• Request an ATIP and request information about your file (This is horrible because IRCC ATIP's are backlogged to Aug people from aug hasn't gotten their ATIP from IRCC)
• Take them to Cort and a Judge will ask them to look at the file and make a decision
  • I know getting a lawyer is expensive, but this is madness

It is possible for a court to order the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to make a decision on a file if there is a legal challenge to the decision-making process or if the delay in making a decision is unreasonable. In such cases, the court may issue a writ of mandamus, which is an order requiring a government agency or official to perform a specific duty or action.

However, it is important to note that the courts generally do not have the authority to direct IRCC to make a specific decision on a particular file. The courts can only review the decision-making process to ensure that it was fair and reasonable, and to ensure that the IRCC has followed the appropriate procedures and laws.

If you have concerns about the handling of your file by IRCC, you may wish to consult with an immigration lawyer or seek legal advice to understand your options for challenging the decision or the decision-making process.

Your file may have been assigned to one of those staff that is on leave or no longer works with IRCC. It may be time to take it to the courts so IRCC has to act on it

That email address i got 3 yrs ago from the prime minister officer when I complained about IRCC they forwarded my file to that email address and in a few months i got a decision made so maybe contact the PM office and they will most likely forward it. again that was 3 yrs ago so maybe that has also changed but you can try.

You should receive an AOR email after submitting your application and a test invite. if you did not receive any of this you need to speak to a lawyer to move your application forward otherwise you will be stuck forever.

Again I feel sorry that someone has to pay to get a service which is supposed to get in normal circumstances without any additional cost but it's the reality, i'm also considering doing the same ( Oct 2020)
