I suppose you did not get RQ then second time, correct?

No RQ, though I read on a CIC OB (I believe it was 407) that applications rejected, withdrawn or abandoned are first triggers for RQ.
No questions asked during interview either. Maybe because the time lapsed since first application was consistent (8yrs).
However i had prepared all and every documents required by an RQ, which by the way I am recommending to anyone rather than sending tons of "additional" documents with initial application.

What did u guys attach at language proof?
I have ielts which is expired and I had used for PR.

I do have my degree but its like a 2hrs drive from where I live. I left it at my aunts house.

So was wondering if I can use expired IELTS only

Here's another thread on the IELTS issue: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/expired-language-test-results-for-citizenship-application-t190719.0.html

Regarding the degree, you only need a copy at this point, not the original, so perhaps your aunt (or someone else) could scan and e-mail it to you.

Thank you.

But isn't IELTS enough?

Although I have no personal experience with this (English is my native language), the instructions state:

"International English Language Testing System (IELTS), general training and not the academic version. You must have achieved: 4.0 or higher in speaking, and
4.5 or higher in listening. (If the test was done before November 28, 2008, we will accept a 4 or higher.)

If so, send a copy of your test results with your citizenship application, even if the results have expired."

So, if you scored high enough and have a copy of the results, it looks like you're all set.

I disagree with sending any extra information. It is like border securities, you should ONLY answer / provide information for what they ask you.

I provided all the details that you have included and went one step further and got CBP records. I still got my RQ. Reason being too many travel. So if you have to get RQd you will.
I would suggest keeping it simple and provide what they ask for.

I agree with you, know some people who got RQd (they expected too) as you said. If there is some thing odd in your case, sending everything above/random docs will not help anything...
I kept it simple, added nothing extra said above. Never asked any additional docs during the process or at interview. Application completed in five months.
Thanks all for sharing .
