citizenship and passport forms

What if the space for the address is too small (long addresses in many parts of the world). I've managed to type most of the form, but it looks like I'll have to write the address in with an ink pen. Also, is it ok to simply attach a piece of paper with the full address, or will it be neglected?

Just write short forms, whatever fits.
Its just forms. Nobody is going out there searching addresses to verify.

Well one of them is the mailing address. International addresses can be much longer than addresses in Canada and the US. It’s about making sure the passport is sent to the right place.
