Hi,

Applied for citizenship in December 2014 but only recently realized that I made 2 errors in the application form.
#1: missed 5 days in residence calculator.
#2: wrote wrong house number for when came to canada and stayed for initial few months.

Sent a letter to CIC office processing application requesting correction in application form while being processed. Do I need to be concerned about any repercussions or problems from CIC?

Please advice.

Thank you in advance

Does missed 5 days bring you below 1095 level? If yes, you have a good reason to be worried. If no, you should be good - however this will come up in interview - mistakes do happen; to err is human.

In my case, I noted just recently that I had two dates wrong in the residency calculator:

In the first instance, I left Canada one day earlier than indicated (must have been a typo)
In the second instance, I actually arrived one day earlier back in Canada (the plan arrived late in the evening in Toronto and just after midnight in Calgary, and I indicated the Calgary arrival)

So overall the calculated total is not affected - just two mistakes that I wanted to correct.

I called the help line and they told me not to do anything. Unless I would be contacted with questions, I should just wait and bring it up either as a response to a request or during the interview on the test day.

I found that strange but didn't want to argue, especially as the net effect is nil.
