Those who got CIPS Certification done, please post your timeline. It feels like they have just one person to work on CIPS certification. Processing just 2 per day. This delay sucks. Leads into IELTS expiry and re-writing again. Sometimes it feels like everything is a big scam.

It seems the current CIPS application processing timeline is 10months.

It will take more than that. I noticed they process an average of 40 a month. So if the last "Review Queue" number is 400 then they would say 10 month. But its 500 now, so guessing it would take them around 12 to 13 months. CRAZY. This requires you to renew the stupid memebership with CIPS otherwise they won't process your Certification. MADNESS. This leads into IELTS expiry for some, Age bar for some. REDICULOUS.

I have total 11 years of experience in Web development. I have opted for Established IT professional route for ISP license.
I have to fill the document for that. Anyone who can share the sample document with me so that i can create my doc accordingly. I am confused that how much detail i should put in that doc. Please share the sample document if someone have over goel.parag@gmail.com

Hi, I had applied for CIPS certification all the way back in Apr 2018.. I just received a response saying that the Journals section of the application is incomplete - I had not seen or filled this. My question is - Can I write the names of all the journals I have read for my certifications like MCSE, CNE, Network +, CCNA etc or they are expecting other journals ?

It will be great if those that have received their certification can help me on this with some guidance. Thanks in advance

This is really scary . Those sh*t heads should have verified the completeness of application right when applied. I applied Oct last year and I don't remember anything about this Journals section.

For SINP Licence and specifically for I.S.P. there are multiple routes to obtain it. If you go to their website, they have tool to assess which route you can take. In my case I tiok education plus experience route. However first confirm this from them by sending them email at info@cips.ca. For the rest of the answers for your questions please see below.
1. As per your job duties (current and past), you have to decide in which bok list you are falling. They habe given this list in application form. As per that you need to mention this thing in application form but for education plus experience route and established IT professionals route.

2. WES evaluation should be course by course. Document by document they won't accept. For this if you have already completed WES in past than you just need to upgrade it to course by course. You can easily get this from WES website in your account. There will be some charges. Also make sure to send the copy of your wes report directly from wes to thier address written in application form. For this you have to add manual recipient in wes account.

3. Demonstrate knowledge of code of business ethics, this is online test with few questions that you need to clear. They have provided the link as well and highlighted the same in yellow on their website. This certificate you get in half an hour which you need to attach while application for the I.S.P. They will provide the document as well to pass the test.

4. CIPS membership can be obtain while filling the application form as they usually give that option too. So this will be covered once you fill the application form.

5. You need to provide reference letter(s) from your client or employer who can comment on your competence and confirm your last 24 months work with them.

6. Rest is explanatory about the application fees. They have given the link in which for particular Saskatchewan we have to pay mentioned amount with additional membership fee.

Around 10-12 months.
In the last 17 working days they processed 45. Which means an average of about 2.5 per working day. You need to see your Review Queue number to calculate your estimated date. Here is where they give out the numbers

Hey, what happened to your CIPS application? Will (or did) they process it immediately after you provide needed information? or push your application back in the queue? See where your queue number is, here http://www.cips.ca/CertificationStatus

Do we need CIPS certificate for applying SINP EOI for NOC 2173? If No, and if I get invitation to apply for SINP but if I dont have CIPS licensure then I wont be able to apply?

With the recent changes NOC 2173 is not in the demand list. NOC 2174 is. Earlier when 2173 was in demand, SINP let folks to apply for EOI and some of them got ITA too. After ITA, they provided 2 months time to submit application without certification and put the application on hold for 1 year within which one needs to submit the certification.
CIPS takes 9-10 months for certification as per them.
