When did you send your application? Have you sent it already? For applications after June 26th, they haven't started processing those yet so nobody knows. So currently it's looking at least 60 days. However, July and August tends to be notoriously slow because some CIC staff are on holiday and also they have a lot of student visas to process.registerednurse said:
In theory the post-June 26th applications should be coming in at a slower rate since people have a substantial amount of documentation to gather up-front - so they may be able to make fairly fast headway once they start processing the new applications.
Will just have to see, I think CIC will say on their website once they make a start on the new applications.
Our application arrived at CIC on 30 August, so we're looking probably 2 months for them to get round to processing it, then send to London and probaby another 2 months until London process it.
If we're lucky we'll get "In processing" status by Christmas!

CIO is currently taking approx 4+ months currently they are processing application received upto June, 15 2010. As per CIC they received unexpected number of application b/w Feb and June, 2010 which increased the CIO processing time. My friend who sent his application in March-10 just got his CIO- NS AOR a week ago

Nobody is doubting this, however we suspect they have a separate process/team for new applications - hence why several people here are starting to get responses from CIC about their post-June 26th application.zulkfal said:

my application was sent last week of march 2010 by my representative and now she told me that the cio told her i should take ielts wich i already took 2 years ago but my representative forgot to tick the box indicating i took the exam. and just a week ago she emailed a scanned of my ielts result, to the cio i guess, i really dont know how the process goes.
by the way , how does cio inform you if your papers are lacking? through email? or they just send your application back to you?
