CIO-Sydney Visa card transaction denied, Help please

My bank ( Citi Bank) just informed me they denied a transaction from CIO Sydney (stupid enough even though I informed them about 2 months in advance ...



*** My bank is saying that they have added now CIO transaction in authorized transaction just after 2 minutes of denied, so I must contact CIO for re-charge my card. Is there any way to request a Re-Charge to CIO???

*** Would they try again to charge fees or it was just one and final try ???

*** In case, instead of waiting their contact, I want to send Check on urgent bases, Should me just send the check to CIO or whole application included??

*** Will me application treated as new application or it would be same date as I applied before?

Hi,

There is less chance that they will try again as it has not gone thru at the first attempt. Normally CIC send letter giving 30 days to resend the payment form. I have read on this forum that if you come to know that you got a problem with your credit card then send a new DD straightaway rather then waiting for CIC to contact you and put a cover letter with it saying why you are sending it again and giving details of your old application when it was received. You do not have to fill out the form again just a payment.

Problem is this, if we send demand draft, how cio would recognize without any file number etc? and if we resend whole application with DD, that's seems gonna treated as fresh application. Really so confuse what do you, as you said they will send letter/e-mail, if that happens, than hopefully will work because we would have to send the payment form only. I am still angry at bank, it sucks, if some one hack card, they will let us know after a week when money is gone away, and if its a legal transaction, they will block immediately

For now I am following saki advise to wait for a couple of days in anticipation of email from CIC.

I am thinking that in case I do not receive any email within seven days then I should send fresh application along with a note of what happened first time.

If you have any suggestions or get any expert advise please share.

I read it in some thread its impossible to find out which one was it. Applicant received a letter from CIC to send payment form again and he just informed everyone on the forum.

Faisal, this is what I am thinking to do, but as I mention above and finally above member Saki, If they send us payment request form, it will contain out file number, that mean, we will be treated as old application and we would not waste time for a new application. If we are going to resend every thing, than I doubt we gonna be a new applicant and again down in queue. Let see, let me know what you have decided.

Guys i will say just wait for another week hopefully your will hear something from CIC. Normally applicants are not aware if they have any problems with their payment so CIC contact them but both of you are aware and that is why your are getting tensed every day. I have not seen anyone sending the full application or payment again without CIC request. So better to wait then mess everything by resending.
