Hi all,

Just got an email from CIC saying a new message awaits. Logged on CIC only to see the following message:

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has reviewed your application for permanent residence. We have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of a complete application as described in sections 10 and 12.01 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. Your application is rejected for being incomplete.
Specifically, your application does not include the following elements:
- Police Certificate:
o The Police certificate from the United States was not provided. This document is required based on address/background history from 2009/09 to 2013/05. It appears you resided 6 months or more in that country. NOTE: You did not provide a letter of explanation and proof of submission for this Police Certificate.

Note: A full review of your application was not performed. There may be other elements, not identified above, which may also be missing or incomplete.

Here is the fun part: all my life I have been on the US soil for less than 10 days, none of which are within 2009/09 and 2013/05. So what is going on here?

EDIT: I took another look and found out the UCI on the pdf file wasn't mine...

Did you enter a wrong date by any chance?

If not, send a CSE

No chance. And I did not mention "United States" anywhere in my application, apart from travel history.

Send a CSE asap. This is brutal stuff by CIC

Should I send CSE or should I call them? They seem to process CSE pretty slowly.

If you haven't made a mistake in entering the dates then it is quite a blunder by CIC in reading your travel history. And if the rejection is for a different applicant based on the difference in UCI, then its an even bigger blunder.

Either ways, call them up to get a faster response.

this is BS . why would they reject the file on the ground that does not even exist. send a CSE. my CSE document was accepted in a week so it might works for you as well.

So.... the the reviewer uploaded either the wrong letter, or the letter to the wrong account?

Definitely send a CSE ... I hope for your sake it's the latter...

I do too... Thanks folks!

@rex911, you had me scared and double checking my application. I have only ever lived in Australia and Canada, and I submitted my Australian Police Certificate. As I did not live in Queensland or Victoria did not have to submit additional documentation.

This is very scary.

me too... me too...

Even though I know CIC made a mistake on the US PCC part, I still suspect I would eventually get a rejection due to education, offer letter or the PCC's I did submit...
