Hi Navdeep,
Thanks but how do you know this?

This was not true. Now it is almost March and I still cannot access eCas using her credentials. It only works under my credentials and the process is still "In Process". Not sure where you got this information from, Navdeep.

Contact question @ cic.gc.ca
I couldn't login for 5 weeks before I contacted CIC by email. End result: For some reason they changed my name on ecas. My last name is totally wrong now. Instead of **oeck** they changed it to **ok**, so 2 letters off. Really weird. I asked them to change it back to my real name

I contacted CIC and they said I need to speak to the Indian High Commission. I e-mailed the High Commission 4-6 weeks ago, still no response from them.

Can you believe that after all this time, I still have not heard back from High Commission? I am still using my application details to find more details on our application.

Hi! Are you able to check your spouse's ecas now? We received our UCI along with our medical request on april 24. I check our ecas almost everyday for more than 2 weeks now but I still can't access our ecas. :(

When I try with all info, online status flashes for approx 2 seconds and then the page totally disappears! BTW I was checking with my iPad. I could repeat and saw the status just for 2 seconds every time I try! Seems annoying.

Hey there, my iPad does the exact same thing. It's been like that for literally ages, and I doubt it's gonna get fixed soon. The eCAS programmer probably didn't check to make sure that it works on Apple devices.

Just use Windows.....it'll work just fine.....

My problem is similar, I have checked a couple times, I'm not in the system. I have received nothing after resending documents. The only number I have available is my UCI and the receipt for fees paid and nothing. I've checked a couple different times a few days apart. It's been almost 2 months to the day I sent the second round. I'm the principal applicant.

Are you sure what you are using is your UCI number? I didn't find out my UCI until I ordered GCMS notes because my VO didn't send me AOR. The only UCI I had was the one from the sponsor which came along with the Sponsorship approval email.

Also, have you tried to use the Application number instead? It's the one that starts with F000. You must also put your personal details (DoB, PoB and last name), not the sponsor's.

I have I VR with a Client ID number on it, as a far as I am aware that is my UCI (maybe I'm wrong) and as far as my records show I never (nor my sponsor) received any type of file number as we have heard nothing since sending the documents. I have tried both my info (DOB, POB and my sponsor's) My sponsor hasn't received a UCI as far as I know. We haven't even got SA yet so I'm getting worried. I only see the receipt number for payment ( one way apparently that can find your file) it shows I'm all paid but that's it. I really don't want to call someone because I can't see what else they could tell me. I just don't know how to proceed at this point.

you will only be able to check your status online after you receive SA. This will give you the UCI and file number to use. It generally takes up to a week for it to start working after SA. Took about 2 working days for me. If you sent in your application at the end of january, i would highly suggest calling CIC to see what's going on, then contact your MP if that gets you nowhere, and order your case notes to get an idea what's going on.

Ordering case notes at this short time into the process likely will yield absolutely NO information at all, just and FYI. If there has been no correspondence from CIC then no notes are going to be on the file as well, since nobody has likely even looked at it yet.

However, I am curious, Blueangel, why did you resend documents? Were you requested to resend them, and if so, the letter/email that you recieved to ask for them again should have had your spouse's (sponsors) UCI number and the file number included on it. They would need to document those to know where to locate the information you sent back to them, and likely asked to have a copy of that letter/email attached with the documents.

out of curiousity, when is it best to start ordering notes?

when we received a letter of request for a missing document, it only had the file number listed. I was not able to check ecas with it. Ecas only starting working 2 days after receiving SA which had my sponsor's UCI.

If new documents were requested, then that letter would have a certain amount of days it gave to complete the request. CIC may be waiting for that date in order to update. It's called the "bring forward date".

I had to resend some because, like the OP, a signature was missing and one I had the wrong form. I sent the letter back with it per CIC's request. I foolishly didn't make a copy because I didn't have a copier and from what I read on it, it didn't contain useful info. Granted I was in a hurry to send it back as my FBI certificate was due to expire and I was freaking out. The border was breathing down my neck about my application status. I wasn't too worried at the time because the first go around they responded within a month, now it's been from 3/13 to 5/13 and I've heard nothing. Plus the website states one or the following methods of ID :UCI, Receipt number ( which I have) and one other thing but only one is required. But maybe I should give it a little longer, I don't know what to do.

That's entirely possible now that I think about it. The timetable would fit.
