Agreed. I'd certainly pay more for better service or an update once in a while.yamayama said:They should just jack up the price for family sponsorship, I think probably the fees will go up for sure and I don't mind even paying the fees 2 times or even 3 times but please end this strike. We need our families.
Does anyone know if visa officers have been ordered to put their efforts into "urgent" processing of student visas over family sponsorships, due to the strike?
As customers, why aren't we being given any answers? All we have to work with is the insincere apology for delays on the cic website and what we read in the newspaper. I went right up to the window at the visa processing centre in my current city and asked a few simple questions, nothing too specific. I was given no explanations or answers, whatsoever. Silly to have ever thought "public service" meant service for the public (such as Canadians applying for sponsorship), not just well-heeled foreign students and visitors from foreign countries! As a Canadian, I am embarrassed that would be taxpaying citizens are being treated this way. What a great first impression of the country!
My biggest mistake was applying outland PR for my wife. I would have been better off doing it the underhanded way by getting her a visitor visa and applying inland. At least it would assure that we could be together for as long as this process takes.
