CIC Scarbrough Citizenship Timelines – January or February 2013

My Scenario is –

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on February 1, 2013.
2. We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 1, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
3. We started processing your application on April 3, 2013.

I called CIC, they are saying that my application is in Scarborough since Sept 2013. I am wondering what are they waiting for in Scarborough? Are they waiting to give a RQ or is the line-up for test is huge?

Do we have anyone in this timelines with Scarborough who have received RQ or letter for test?

Look at my time line i got RQ from Sydney to submit to my local office Scarbrough in october.

Looks you are in the queue.. Be positive .. hope you will soon hear good news with your test.

How about your Travel record in and out canada ? if you dont have any major long trips then you dont need to worry about RQ.

I have a similar timeline as yours:


Feb. 2013 : Start processing of your file
July 2013: Received RQ from Scarborough
Aug. 2013: Submitted the RQ to Scarrborough
24 Jan 2014: Received letter from St. Clair to prepare for written exam on 24 Feb. 2014 at St. Clair

Any idea about the step after test, like the possible oath date?

Here is my timeline

apllication received: 11 Feb 2013
IP: 9 April 2013

Moved from Vancouver to Toronto: July 2013

Transferred to Scarborough office: 19 Nov 2013

I don't have RQ and was told back ground check is over, but still waiting for test. It is late, isn't it? Anyone has the similar timeline?

my wife came to Canada 7 Months after me got Citizenship before me .. my wife applied in July 2013, processing started in Sept. In Dec. she got test notification and a week after Oath. Only difference is her app went to Mississauga.
