cic returned temp work permit coz they didn't receive payment

this is my friend's case.

she works in alberta. she sent her work permit for renewal 2 months ago and paid online with her credit card. she also received a letter of confirmation for her permit.

now, she received her work permit along with a letter from cic, telling her that they're returning her work permit coz she didn't pay. she received this 17 days before her work permit expires.

what should she do? she said she was even double charged on her credit card and they're gonna dispute that. but she sent the imm5710, photo, lmo, and work contract back to the cic

What about the receipt of payment. When you pay online, you are given a receipt which you printout and write applicant's name on. A copy of the receipt should be in your friends email.
