CIC RETURNED 150CAD and 100CAD back to me.... Why?

Hello seniors/ Experts

So I realized in my credit card transactions that Citizens and Immigration Canada returned back 150CAD and 100CAD to me. I don't know why and I am a bit confused.

I have applied for my PR through the Express Entry (CEC inland) on February 1, 2016. I also applied for a BOWP on February 2, 2016. My profile on my PR application states (medical = passed, background Check in progress), while for the BOWP, the profile states (open). I paid the full fees for both application.

Does any one have an idea why the money was returned to me? Or does anyone have any similar case?

Please advice me on what I should do in this case.

Submitted PR Application = Feb 01, 2016
AOR = Feb 01, 2016
Medical Passed = Feb 10, 2016
Background Check = In progress
BOWP applied = Feb 02, 2016
BOWP status = Opened

I got 150 refund, since my kid was born in Canada, is Canadian citizen. But I dont know your case

Looking from a positive prospect...May be they have returned your 250 CAD , which you have paid for BOWP considering MAY BE your PR file is finalized.

Even if it has been finalized, CIC refunding the money on its own is weird. Normally, they dont until one request them to.


I suggest you to call CIC right away.

I suggest you to call CIC right away.

I am hopeful that it was returned because my PR application has been approved. I would just wait until I am sent PPR email. Let me remain positive as always.
