Hello everyone,

have just completed my payment to CIC but I was later sent a pdf form requesting I upload a provincial nominee form on mycic account but I can't find an upload link to do on mycic account , so I want to know if anyone has encountered this before and what should I do next.

Go to your submitted application,
click past the personal questionnaire,
you should find a new upload slot in the uploaded documents page, the same page where you uploaded all your documents the first time.

I've been facing the same issue. The reviewing officer has asked me to upload additional information relating to my job description via mycic account for my Permanent residency application. However, after trying several computers and browsers and clearing the cache & history, I still cannot see any upload button in the document list page (or anywhere else in my application)

I logged a technical problem through the "report technical problem" button at the top of the screen while you are in your account as well as sent my documents through the "case specific enquiry" form. However, that was on Thursday and I haven't seen any change or received a reply. I have till the 27th to upload my documents before the assessing officer makes a final decision.

I'm absolutely nervous about this and was wondering what happened in your case and if you have any suggestions of what more can I do. I tried calling the CIC call centre on Friday, but got the automated message and then disconnected. I will try this week too, but only really have till Thurs to speak to someone over the phone (the help line will be closed on Good Fri, Sat and Sun)

Any previous experience and suggestions welcomed!

If the situation does not resolve itself after 24 hours,I suggest you raise a technical query from your myCIC account which will be resolved usually within 48 hours

I am in a similar situation, though for a different kind of a document request. Looks like there is some technical issue with the system. I have raised 2 technical issues in last 10 days but no response, even raised a CSE to attach documents but got a response that I should use MyCIC to upload documents for applications that are in process. I called the IRCC call centre and they suggested me to create another CSE with details, but the new one can end up like previous one too! So I created 2 CSE's one with "Express Entry" and other with "Technical Issue". Now I am planning to create another one with "Emergency situation", can't think of anything else since time limit provided to me is about to run out soon!

This is so frustrating! I have been trying to find some solution to this since 10th March.

Thanks Kitua85. I logged the "Report technical issue" on my CIC account last thursday. No change so far.

cseeker: I can commiserate ! I feel like I'm stuck in limbo since last week. I haven't heard back on my CSE (which I did on thursday). I can't connect with the call centre either! Could you let me know what options do you choose on the phone ? maybe I'm doing something wrong
Do keep us informed what happens. What is your deadline date ? mine is 27th march. I'll probably raise another CSE tomorrow if I don't hear anything.

Fingers crossed for both of us!!

My deadline is 30th calendar day from 29th Feb, which is roughly similar to yours. On top of all of this mess 25-28 march is a long weekend! Call centre is not going to be of any help unless you are past 6 month from your AOR date. I must have called them 10 times and each time they suggested me to raise another CSE. I usually select address change option from their menu and I have been able to speak with an agent every time. I am out of words for the situation we are in, at the very least it feels suffocating!!

I was so occupied with the drama back and forth to get a job description letter from my company, that I didn't check the CIC website until the 17th (10 days after receiving the CIC letter). So it's not enough that my company refused to provide a letter (but my manager did in her personal capacity), I just wasn't prepared to be a bundle of nerves on this technical glitch either. I'm just trying to understand what my next steps should be in a worst case scenario, if i had to go into an appeal process because of non-receipt of requested documents. Have you looked into that and perhaps have any advise to links/pages/sources I should read on the CIC website and elsewhere.

In the end I think I will know a couple of days before you, so lets keep in touch. BTW, I emailed the CPC-Ottawa too last night, though I'm not sure if that would do any good

I just hope (& wish) that things don't reach at a point where we have to think about appeals! I have tried this too, mail to CPC-Ottawa, but the automated response clearly mentioned that CIC reads CSEs only. Did you receive a similar response or was it something else?

This is the message I got

"Due to a high volume of inquiries we are only able to respond to case-specific inquiries and the service standard is 20 working days.
For general information, please visit our website..."

The way I understood it is that they will only reply if it pertains to a specific application and not general inquiries; but I suppose they could have meant they would only respond to questions through CSE Form

I'd hate to think going down the appeal process either and maybe CIC will resolve all of this in the next couple days ! But given the time line is so close, I feel I don't have any option but to start preparing for next steps :(

Just a quick update. I finally managed to speak with a CIC rep over the phone. He looked at my application and confirmed that there was indeed a technical problem. He said that I have to file a CSE with the screenshot, CIC letter and whatever documents I intended to upload. He assured me that as long as the CSE is done before the deadline, they will consider that as new information and the CIC reviewing officer would reconsider the application even if the status changed to "Closed".

While it isn't new information from what you already told me, it atleast gives me some comfort that my documentation will be considered even if the deadline date has passed and my online account issues don't get resolved

I hope what he says is true! As far as I understand there is no way for a visa officer to know that there is a CSE pending for a file. During all these attempts to contact CIC I happen to speak to a very patient and helpful agent. She told me that there is a specific team that handles CSE, that team goes through each CSE and only if they find it worth then they attach it with the file and while all this is going on visa officer has no way to know that a CSE is pending for a file. They are relying too much on CSE's, there is no tracking number and no way to verify what information was sent in a CSE. I guess if the time comes for an appeal then all of this is going to be helpful. I even requested an agent to put some comment in my file that I have been trying to attach docs without much success.

By the way, what application type are you going to select in CSE? I created one with Express Entry, one with Technical issue and another one with Emergency. I received following response to my very first CSE that I created on 10th March:

Dear Client,
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Please note that once an online application is in process, the responsible office may contact you by email to
provide additional documentation in support of your application.
When you click on Check status and messages, you will be directed to the page listing the application status
and messages. You will need to click on View submitted application. The office will let you know how long you
have to provide the additional document(s).
Once the document is uploaded, you must click on Next.
You must then:
Review & Validate the latest information provided,
Sign the online application by entering your given name(s) and last name, and
Click on Submit.
The following message should appear on your screen:
You have successfully submitted your additional or replacement document(s).
Sincerely,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

I'm just going to take the CIC reps word at its face value. I am increasingly convinced there is nothing else to be done. From what I understand, even if the decision has been given, it can be reconsidered once the CSE conveys the new information. That's not ideal at all since we will be in the dark and have to go through the heart break of getting a rejection initially.

I filed the first CSE under technical issues but did not include the screen shots and the CIC letter. So I've done it again under technical issue

I started my explanation with an "--URGENT--" emblazoned at the top. I would be just devastated if they come back to me with a bland template answer like yours.

I've started reading on appeals... It's not looking that great and it may be best to get legal advice. But it looks more common sense to also redo the application from scratch via express entry or whichever other method works best

I agree with you about taking their comments on face value! I wish I had followed this, but I have given up now. There is nothing else that I can do except to wait to find out what happens.

We'll know very soon eitherways. Fingers crossed and pray or just think good thoughts ! Easier said than done, but that's what I will attempt. I can't take this mental stress anymore :)
