Hi Everyone,
I have submitted my full application last month. Today I received a message from CIC asking for another scan of my IELTS as the one submitted is not acceptable. I'm not sure why they asked for this as the one I submitted is readable.

Hello!
Consider yourself lucky that they haven't rejected your application for being incomplete which they could have and which they have for some people!
Probably the scanned copy wasn't in color or got corrupted during upload/downloads? It could be anything!
But hey! f they say it is not acceptable then it is wise to 'accept' it and upload another copy ASAP!

Well if I understand correctly IELT report is NOT a required document but people just upload it together with the education credentials anyway. I guess that's why IRCC did not reject the application at the first place but rather asked for a re-upload.

That's true.

It is probably appearing to be a broken document or something of that sort in their system and the case officer can not put it in the placeholder in their internal system which triggered the request?
I guess you could never know exactly what!
But the bottom line is, they have asked for it.
So,.......

That was the most likely reason. They couldn't open the pdf so they didn't know what it really was.

Thank you all for your reply. I was actually uncertain on how to submit the new scan and pressed post before I finished my question.
Rejecting the application as incomplete would have been unfair since I did submit all the required documents ( Learnt that from a previous experience)
I hope they accept the second scan which I just uploaded. My portrait is dark in the original certificate provided by the BC and was worried that this was the reason for rejecting it in the first place...Finger crossed it was only a broken document
