dear frnds..

foriegn worker in NOC B class is in canada, working with canadian employer for the last 3 years, applied to CIC Buffalo claiming 10 points for arranged employment bcoz his work permit was valid and now renewal is in process after LMO, employer offered permanent job offer But now officer did not award him Arranged Employment points.

Its very much disappointing as it is not mandatory to get AEO if u r working with same employer and employer offers u permanent job.

Any feedback...

thanks

Did refusal letter state WHY the points for AEO were not being awarded? If you could provide a bit more detail it might be easier to advise. I have no experience with this aspect of the immigration process. If it is a mistake, would other Seniors suggest writing a letter quoting the Manual section related to the application and clearly showing how it qualifies as soon as possible? Best of luck.

There are a couple of technical details about arranged employment offers - they must be at least 37.5 hours per week, and they must not have an end date - a term contract does not qualify. If either detail was missed in the offer of permanent employment, it might have been rejected...

It was a fulltime (40hrs/wk), permanent job offer with no end date, he is working with same employer since 2007 to present.

So, the refusal was for insufficient points because they did not award 10 points for arranged employment, is that correct?

Was the work permit confirmed by HRSDC? or it was an open work-permit due to Refugee claim or something.

If the work permit was not confirmed by HRSDC then, it is not considered as TRV and not points are awarded for this.

Please confirm this then, I can suggest you further. You can send me Personal message too. All the best
