Hello saskapr2015,
You are not alone; many applicants, both Inland and Outland, are waiting for MR. Be patient my friend.
=>When did you receive your AOR?
=>Have you think about ordering GCMS notes? if not, go for that to know where you application is now.

Cheers
Hey alxbux
I recd my aor on 9th Oct 2015.
GCMS notes raised in April do not show any movement in the application processing. . What is your timeline?

Thanks for the information. Are you also applying via Express Entry?

The paper based application is the only one I am applying through. Are you making a second Express Entry application?

Maybe. I don't have the points for it yet. Maybe I should start learning French ;D

Why spend more money on it? We are already down $1500 for the OINP, and $550 for the CIC paper application. Does it make a difference if express entry is a few months faster?

Hi guys.

I'm preparing my application but got a bit confused on the fee issue. Is it $550 for just one person? What about the $490, also known as the right to permanent residence fee? Do we pay that one at a later stage?

$550 is per person and is paid at time to send it application. No refund if you are rejected.

$490 is Right to PR fee and its paid during the application (or optionally paid upfront). If you ended up being rejected this can be refunded.

How can you pay the right to PR fee upfront? I only see the option to pay the $550 application fee.

you can pay it, the option is there, infact for easy and fast processing, the best thing to do is to pay both, rprf and application fee, very rare before canada reject applicants

For my opinion avoid paying Right of landing fee when the time of application untill and unless CIC request us. And same applies to upfront medicals. There are so many cases we have who paid Right of landing fee during application and did upfront medicals got Employment request by CIC.

So avoid doing the both.

Rejection after R10 is perfectly possible. Most likely unable to provide PCC, medical rejection. It is not advisable to send RPRF at application until requested at Reminder email.

What do you say guys on it....

London Visa Office is notorious for rejecting applications on the basis of IELTS. They did it on numerous occasions before. Surprisingly other visa offices have no issue with the same IELTS levels. This contradicts CIC policy as other visa offices accept the same IELTS results but LVO rejects it.

LVO do IELTS assessment on this website as per individual NOC and skills requirements
http://www.jobbank.gc.ca

Please beware this is just a fairness procedural letter and not a rejection. They gave you 90 days to justify that, but you have already submitted your improved IELTS results so you should be fine. But please share your revised IELTS results here.

I got nominated by Nova Scotia for the paper based process ( Family business Worker Stream). I am looking at the timelines here and understand that the wait is definitely going to be long.

I am also expecting my Ontario Express Entry nomination in the next few months. I am planning to apply to both. Im ready to throw the money for both streams ( OINP = 1500CAD + 550 PR Fee), ( NS = 550 PR fee). Can I apply to both streams simultaneously as per below CIC link :
