CIC points question

I have 454 points. My additional year of experience in Canada is getting complete in May. The points for additional year is already added in my profile.. even, without the points, I will meet the cutoff of 431.

My question is - can I apply immediately after the documents are ready from my end (or) do I need wait for my additional year of experience to complete to match the CRS points and apply in May?

I believe, I can apply now.. as I have the points above cut-off, even without the additional year of experience.. but, wanted to check with seniors.. can someone assist?

the below is what is said in ITA.. since for me.. im not going to count the additional years of experience (which will be completed next month) and since the new/revised score without it is above the cutoff score.. i believe, I can apply this month. just waiting for some experts confirmation.


If your new score is lower than the minimum points score in the round of invitation from which you were invited to
apply, you should consider declining this invitation to apply. You should also consider declining this invitation
to apply if you no longer meet the minimum criteria for Express Entry.

the day you receive ITA, all your work ex has to be counted till that day and subsequent points gained.

You can apply, but take off the extra year and write an LOE that you took it off because you did not complete full 2 years hence why you took it off just so visa officer can easily identify the reason for drop.

Ok, thanks.. I will explain it in LOE.. but nothing to take off.. since I'm in Canada already, the additional points were given to me (in April) for the additional year of experience which gets completed in May. Since I'm going to submit the documents soon (in april), without counting the additional year of experience, my points in CIC will come down, which is still above the cut off score of 431
