CIC Passport Return Time

Passport sent to CIC: 8 Aug, Monday
Passport recieved by CIC: 10 Aug, Wednesday
Application Closed: 16 Aug, Tuesday

Does the Case processing centre in Ottawa mail out the passport the same day as the application is closed?

Because my application was closed yesterday, but the tracking has not yet been activated.

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. Usually it is between 1-5 buisness days after the passport is recieved.

Also tracking is not always activated right away... it is common couriers take their time to activate it.

I applied online on October 18. My passport was delivered to Ottawa on Nov 6 after receiving the request.

BUT I did not receive any update until Nov 22 and there is still no tracking update from Canada post!

It takes FOREVER to have the visa done! CIC is as slow as a COW!
