CIC notice: email or regular mail?

Can anyone let me know will CIC use email or regular mail for notices? Such as sending more docs or do the citizenship test.

I recently spoke to an agent told me CIC sent me a letter 3 weeks ago requesting an additional document. I have not received it yet. She also said if by mailing does not work then CIC will probably send an email instead but I have to wait for 30 days from the date that first letter was sent.

A few weeks ago an agent told me in general CIC will determine whether to send correspondent by mail or email. CIC are absolutely mysterious, aren't they?

Only the AOR CIC has been sending to some applicants - all other notices are being sent through regular mail. If you have not yet received your AOR you will need to monitor your e.mail (inbox & junk/spam) as well as regular mail. And its not only those who provide e.mail addresses they send AOR to - there are many others who provided e.mail addresses and they still receive AOR through regular mail like my self.
