I guess it's time for me to give up and go back home so I can get a job and work. I'll leave behind my wife and daughter in Canada (both are Canadian) and I'll head back to America. At least the American immigration times are shorter and $600 cheaper so I can sponsor my wife. I was told Inland would take 6 months when we applied in Feb 2014. It's over doubled now. They'd be happier on the beaches of the Southern US or California anyway. At least my income taxes would be cheaper in America.
I don't even want my immigration money back. They can keep it, which they probably would anyway.
um good luck with that. obviously you need to do a LITTLE bit more research on applying for a green card in the US. come back in a year's time and let us know how that is going for you. not surprising, you are getting wrong information considering you thought it would be a good idea for a US citizen who is VISA EXEMPT to apply inland, when that is not who the inland process is intended for.
too bad you didn't apply outland, as it is
recommended to do. you would have been approved and landed by now assuming your case is straightforward. Stop blaming CIC for being misinformed. it is not their fault you tried to skirt the system by getting approved quicker because you were told "inland takes 6 mo", which is less than the "average" processing for outland applicants at that time. i suspect they would have told you upfront it's a bad idea to apply inland as a US applicant.
if you think your life would be so much better back in the US, and will easily be able to settle into a fantastic life with 1 or no income, then go for it. obviously, being in canada isn't working for you anymore.
