Hey all,

My wife and i submitted our application for sponsorship on the 11th Feb 2010. We had been trying to follow the dates on the website for processing times which currently only reads the 11th January 2010. We recieved a letter saying sponsorship had been approved on the 8th March 2010 and my prememant residence application had been filed to the London office.
My advice would be not to go by the dates shown on the site.
Good luck to everyone. Im hoping that it will be straight forward and I should be with my wife in a matter of months.

Would anyone who has had residence granted be able to tell me exactly what i will recieve from the Immigration office in the post once a visa has been granted.

Thanks a ton for sharing this great news with us, I sent my application on March 01 but I haven't got any confirmation from them.

I have been totally relying on what was showing on CIC web site.

We received your application for permanent residence on September xx, 2009.

We started processing your application on October x, 2009.

We transferred your application to the local CIC office on March 9, 2010. The local CIC office may contact you.

we received a letter on Monday saying file was transfered to Mississauga for further accessment.........does anybody has this expirrience and know what next plz guy we are lost here...

Could you please tell me when in September you filed, I filed in September too and want to know when I can expect something.

If the file was transfered they will most likely call you for an interview

So looks like we are looking at 6 months to the day now.

called the call center today and i was told it could take upto 12 month...if they need anything they will let me know ......wow 12 month?????
