CIC has had my wife passport for 6 months now

New here, hello everone.
My wife came to visit me here in Canada, June 1, 2014 and hasn't been able to leave because CIC still has her passport along with our dependents passports, we even had to apply for a visit visa extension. In July
2014 while she was here CIC request all of their passport and asked us to pay for the Right of Permanent Resident Fee along with our dependents passports, it has been 6 month and we still haven't received them back. In August they asked for a furtherance for our son and we had to wait 3 months for the results. His results were clear and the results were sent into CIC November. December my wife and our two daughter were asked for a Medical reassessment , all results sent in and every one is fine. What should we do? Can anyone help us? CIC hasn't responded to any of our emails. It seems like thing are moving forward but we are hoping to find some answers.

Did you applied for an inland sponsorship or wot?...and are you sure they requested for the original passports??

Hello Kriv

I submitted the sponsorship package here in Canada and once I was approved they sent it to manila Philippines. Yes I'm sure they asked to submit the original passports.

Just last night though, we received and email asking for my wife to attend Canadian Orientation Abroad seminar it also says if already in Canada please disregard this email. Am I right to assume that they have made their decision? and how long will we have to what to receive their passport back?
