Hi Friends,

I hope you all are doing well, Today i am going to post this topic because i am so upset of some posts who rejected their PR visa.
I don't understand what CIC wants actually if sponsor / spouse living together they used to said show more proofs after spouse getting PR you both will move to Canada. If sponsor is in Canada and spouse in any other country they rejected the visa on interview and said this relationship not looks real even people have kids..

What the hell they are doing and why they are playing with families....Why they made family sponsorship so difficult... As compare to USA and Australia family sponsorship cases Canada look worst in future...

Sorry about my frustration, But i really want your views on that..

Best Regards,

Sarim

As a Canadian citizen I am totally on board with the due diligence being carried out by the CIC in this regard.

as a Canadian citizen, I am disgusted what they do in some cases.......absolutely DISGUSTING !

SOME of the VO's should be fired for high rejection rates, when in fact, they are promoted.

During my 5 year stint I learned an awful lot about how they work. AND IT AINT PRETTY !

DEFINATELY A STAIN ON CANADA !

CIC is charged with enforcing an ultimately subjective standard: Canada wishes to reunify legitimate relationships but prohibit people from setting up a relationship purely for the sake of immigration.

This is a legitimate aim. Family reunification is ultimately a humanitarian and compassionate category (unlike the economic classes), and relationships of convenience are end-runs around this system. This even protects sponsors, as undoubtedly well-meaning Canadians have been the victims of fraud here.

Unfortunately, the distinction between a relationship of convenience and one of sincerity is sometimes subtle, especially when there is no fixed, culture-independent marker of legitimacy. It is nearly unheard of in Canada to see arranged marraiges where the partners meet each other only soon before the wedding, yet arranged marriages remain common elsewhere in the world. Where along this specrtrum does a "mail-order bride" fit?

Fortunately, although we hear about and remember the exceptions, the vast majority of sponsorship cases are ultimately approved. From the governments own open data, 87% of the applications finalized last year in the "spouses, partners, and children" category were ultimately approved.

Most visa offices had approval rates above 90%, with the highest of CPP-Ottawa at 97% (although that may have something to do with transferring the file elsewhere if an interview is necessary). The lowest outland approval rates were found in Accra and Nairobi, at 57% and 72% respectively.

Interestingly, the inland approval rates were fairly low, with 69% for the category as a whole. I'm not sure what could be going on there, especially since I haven't seen here reports of mass rejections.

You lost my sympathy there. Nothing irritates me more than people complaining about the spousal process when they're living with their spouse.

check my topic from the beginning as i mentioned both options... further my wife is Canadian citizen and she allowed to apply from any where.. so why not we live together instead of living two different countries and give proofs to CIC for genuine relationship.

I'm not saying you shouldn't live together or that wife doesn't have the right to sponsor from anywhere. I'm saying that complaining about the process while living with your spouse is not going to generate much sympathy from people who aren't fortunate enough to live with their spouses.

Did you see your wife today? I haven't seen mine since August. So boo-hoo, how about YOU get a life?

I am not complaining for self i am complaining for all..

One of our member ASYED husband's visa rejected by CIC after 2.5 years process...only the reason was relationship not look genuine even they have daughter..

Sorry to hear about your trouble Sarim. Unfortunately, in the past we have had trouble with immigration fraud because of people from other countries wanting to come and leech off of our welfare state. Most immigrants want to come and work, pay taxes, and contribute to our economy, but there are a few bad apples that ruin it for everyone. Best of luck.

Yes absolutely. Well said. There is one poor forum member who sponsored her husband from Cuba. It was denied so she appealed and after several years she was finally successful. Husband comes, gets PR, and abandons her shortly after (he was sponsored before Condition 51) and wants nothing to do with her. They were together for 11 YEARS. 11!
