Hi

1. The fee for the PR card is included in the application fee.
I believe they are referring to the Right of Permanent Residence fee, this you can pay later, the benefit of paying both your application fee and RPRF at application submission is that it saves a little time down the road as CIC don't need to then ask you to pay the RPRF, the application can just be processed all the way through assuming they require no additional documents from you.

yes you can, this is one of the first questions asked after you've gotten ITA. you should pay $550 with you application and you can pay $490 later at some point.

need some clarification...can someone itemized my fee...me and my family would migrate in canada...me and my spouse together with our son...so the fee breakdown as follows:

principal applicant = 475
spouse = 550
son = 150
this only for getting a visa...then i have to pay 490 rprf...so all in all i will be paying roughly 1500 for all of us...am i correct...or each member on the application should pay 490 each...can somebody help me...thanks..

Canadian fees is relatively on the lowest spectrum among other immigration programs. Have a look at Australia's fees. For a spouse sponsored PR, you have to pay ~$4800. Yup, it is that high. Canadians do not mooch fees at nearly any opportunity they can grab though; they could have had entry fees for EE to up the barrier for entry; there is also no fees for Provincial nominations too. They just put a fees on other work permits too; but the fees is under $200. Yes, it is a money grab but it is justified too and I feel it is nominal. It could be lot worse.
I also think it's justified.. Although almost no one has money to waste, the amount required for getting a PR is lower than average Canadian monthly salary.

So far this application has cost an arm and a leg:

IELTS: $300
ECA: $230
Medical: $425
Police checks: $80

Total - $1035

x 2 as we are applying as a couple. $2070

Can someone please tell me the CEC application fee?

This number is also detracting from the savings we have to provide for landing in Canada. I almost feel instead of proving we are skilled foreign workers, we are funding third party CIC sponsors.

Thoughts?
Well... you're still paying less than me, and I'm a single applicant.
