I am applying for Canada Skilled Worker Program 2014. I have over 10 years rich experience as a Software Engineer and Designer. However my graduation degree is in Mechanical Engineering. I am a B.Tech. and an M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. Could I qualify to apply against the NOC group --- "2173 Software engineers and designers". I am asking this as the NOC web page lists the Employment requirements for this group as
"A bachelor's degree, usually in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering or mathematics
or
Completion of a college program in computer science is usually required."
Would this not be the most suitable group against which I could apply. All my job experience certificates say I am a Software Engineer / System Analyst etc.
