CIC extended my MR for another one year

Dear All
I am CEC application which did my MR last march 2015 , my application was in the security check for 9 months till now , I passed in MR and eligibility is passed and paid the RPRF under their request , I am stuck in Passport request step and I have informed that the security check still in process. Now I am wondering why CIC extended My MR without asking me to renew it by retaking it again , I saw that it was happened for several applicants, Is it indicator that I passed in security as well and be close to Passport request or it doesn't have any meaning , Please respond as I am worried so much.
 
You are good... Exactly I was in same situation... You will get PPR very soon. I also saw in my gcms that they extended my Mr for 1 year.... It is just matter of time when some senior officer will pick up your file and send you the PPR

Thank you so much for your respond , I can see your time frame , it is similar to my time fram somehow , I hope they can notify me soon , the other indicator is extending my open work permit in less than 3 months not through 144 days as mentioned in the site, I will inform you upon receiving it.
 
Well my MR is expiring on 28th April 2016..... & i done RPRF also in upfront.... waiting for PPR.....
Crossing my fingers....

Dont worry.. what's your timeline.? you should have any eye on your mails.

November notify for pending completion due to security check from some agencies
GM last month , I saw the renewal of my MR in 9 February

Will CIC automatically extend the medicals expiry date or we need to call them....

no they will extend it by their own , there is requirement for that extension , the application should be completed in all its steps and decision made is pending due to the MR expiration date and the medical was done in the last 15 months , otherwise they will request to resubmit your medical again

Thanks for your update mate....
I am just waiting for PPR and my medicals is expiring on 28th Apr ... fingers crossed :)

try to ask for your electronic file notes , you will find if they extend it or not , I hope all the best luck for you
