Hey guys just wanted to let you know that the phone system has changed in the last 2 weeks sometime.

The numbers you have to press are different now and they provide more information.

I think this was an attempt to get people to stop calling so much, however I tried 10x today with no luck so apparently the upgrade didn't reduce the volume of people needing to speak to an agent!

The 1-888 call centre number is still the same though.

Yes, you need to press 1-1-2-3
Then you will get automated machine that will tell you information about your application (all information that is on MyCIC page as well). After that you need to press 0 to speak to an agent. If you are lucky, you will wait 30 min to speak with someone. Otherwise they will tell you that they are experiencing high volume of calls. In that case call again. I needed to call 6 times to get to someone.

Yes it's 1,1,2,3 but you must wait for about 45 seconds before you can start with the first 1, and there is a short wait after pressing 2 before you can press 3. Then you input the normal app number and year of birth then press 0 after listening to more voicemail-jail stuff

Used the above method to contact call centre today - took about 35mins to get to a real human today.

I tried calling 4 times this morning....using this prompt order and it keeps saying 'experiencing higher than normal response time unable to transfer you to an agent'. :(

omg who can do this when your working lol. im lucky today i am in a quiet place and call.
 
If I don't have a UCI number, is there any way to actually speak to an agent. I have set my application November 10th and it was received November 14th, yet i have not received any thing yet and I am getting worried.

Were you able to call them? I don't have a UCI number as well, I have nothing to enter when they ask for application number.

Hi, yes I was able to speak to an age t, I gave them my name, birthdate and city I was born, and they were able to give me a temporary file number until.
