CIC call center messages officer

hi everyone.
Below is my timeline:
applied: june 2012 from vancouver
application started getting processed from Jan 2013
file reached surrey office in August 2013

I havent received any notification for test, so was suggested to contact CIC call center. The guy kept em on hold for a while and said he has sent a reminder to the officer saying i have been waiting for a long time for my test to be scheduled. I asked him how long will it take from here on and he said...we dont know...u should received it before june otherwise contact us...

is this something normal..do they actually contact the visa officer or did he say this to pacify me...
how long does it take once they contact visa officer, ussually

he said my file looks good...but not sure why have they not scheduled the interview...

any inforamtion on this would be much appreciated.

Waaw I am so sorry to hear that you have been waiting for so long, looks like they even forgot about you totally, I hope CIC representative send your local office a note to remind them that you do exist and they need to work on your file.
may I ask you have you received an RQ... If not I am really sorry for the waste of time you spent waiting. when he said to call them in June if nothing happens he meant to remind them after 24 months have passed and looks like your file was routine. if I were you I would go seek help from the MP OFFICE I think they can help, at least they can contact them to find out what's going on. I am pretty sure once they get a note from MP or maybe even your letter they will rush processing your file and you will be called for a test, and maybe two or three weeks after the test if you passed and everything goes well you may become a citizen. unless they decide to ignore your file again.
