I just checked since you asked and it was sent after 1 month 10 days. so I think missing address is nothing to do with it. If everyone's address is back this evening then It could be that there have been some changes in eCAS system. lets see.

I think file transfer letter is sent mostly in 3 to 3 and half months unless it is processed in buffalo itself.

Good Luck.

with what number are you trying? if it doesn't work with file number(that starts with B) try with application number that starts with EP0000....

FYI, there are only 3 types of "status updates" for especially PNP applicants. They are:
  • Application received
  • Application in process
  • Application approved/denied
So, e-CAS will not be updated for situations like: file transfer to local offices, medical received (unless they opened your file for processing) and so on. I want to point out one more thing here: your medical is sent to Ottawa first, it's reviewed there and then forwarded to Buffalo. It doesn't necessarily mean that they will open your file and start processing as soon as your medical reached Buffalo from Ottawa.

Besides, Buffalo will tell you NOT to rely on e-CAS for all your update if you ever email them for any update information.

hello rosie.
am a bit confused as to what do we really need to use when you check the case status....i always use the client idedentification ..or is there a different access to view your application status? please help me verify..also i just receive an email this morning that my file was transfered from buf to la...i have done all the medical already since llast ju 16, now that the file was trasfrered what is next? do i have to prepare another police clearance or any documents? what is next to this? and how long? thank you very mcuh

You can use any of FILE NO, UCI NO or APPLICATION NO to log in to e-CAS, they will show you same update. For me, FILE NO never worked to log into my e-CAS.

Transferring file to local/satellite offices will not result in any other processing, rather will take longer than normal processing in Buffalo. The local office may ask for fingerprints or something (I've seen before) only if required; but I'm not too sure.

Good Morning Guys:

I got my address back on my e-cas; but no changes have been made to the status of my application. Atleast they have changed it to my new address as per my request. I am still reading all the threads to figure out. why does our adress suddenly disappears?

I guess you click on "Application Received" in a small box containing your name and a message shows up that they received your PR application on so n so date. For medicals, "Application Received" may not change; but when you click there, the message may change once they update it.

When my e-CAS was updated, "Application Received" was altered to "In Process" and when I clicked on there; it opened all those messages "Application received on so n so date", "We started processing your file on so n so date" and "Medicals received".

Therefore, there is nothing much you can do if they don't update your e-CAS.
