CIC asking for the medical exam even though I took it over a month ago

I took the medial exam on October 11th and submitted my application on the very same day, including the form the medical center had given me.

Fast forward to today, I logged in during the morning and saw that my application had the "We are reviewing your medical exam results" meesage. A couple of hours later I received an email saying there had been an update to my application and when I logged in again, I saw the application's message changed to "We have requested a medical exam. Check your messages below for details." and there was a new document asking me to undergo the medical exam within 30 days (Medical Report - Section A Client identification and summary (IMM 1017E)).

Is this normal? I'd think that CIC should've received the exam results a long time ago.

Contact them by Webform asking for clarification. They do make mistakes but it's possible that the panel physician screwed up and the examination was invalid.

They haven't answered my question, but now I see this message on my application page:

Review of medical results

• November 19, 2019 You passed the medical exam.

I didn't receive an email or anything, I just logged in and saw that the profile had been updated.

I hope this helps someone else with a similar issue.

Hi @TimeFlashes. I'm in a very similar situation. Applied with the upfront medicals on Jan 17th and received a request for medicals a few days later. I completed the IRCC webform, filled out all the necessary info and included the emedical report as an attachment. When I submitted the webform request it said that it would take up to 28 business days for them to respond. Just curious if you remember if there was a wait time indicated when you sent your request?

It was probably an error. You should be fine,however, I would recommend you call and speak with an agent who can clarify this for you and it shouldn't hurt submitting a CSE through the WebForm and keep their response for your record.

Sorry for the delayed response. In case you are still waiting for them to get back to you, I must say they answered five days after sending them the request.
