I landed on May 21 and it has been 5 months and I am still without a PR card. I sent new photos to CIC about a week ago and I just want to get done with dealing with CIC for the next 5 years. How long has it been anyones experience getting a PR card after they requested photos and after the photos were sent to them?

how did you send the photos to them? are you in Canada or outside of Canada?

did you get the photo stamped from the photographer which includes their address and date?

Usually if the photos are older then 6 months, they may require new one's.
Though not always.

I am outside of Canada. I got the photographer to stamp the pictures with his address and date thte photos were taken.

@Suryak86,

Will that cause any problems if they find out that the photos were stamped outside of Canada? I mean obviously this indicates that the person is outisde of Canada if his photo is stamped froma photographer outside of canada?

Did they mention in your letter that the photo needs to be stamped by the photographer?

Becuase they dont mention this in my letter that they sent. All they said was one of the photos should bear the date at the back.

They had a link to the photo specifications, which said it needed to be stamped and dated.

oh okay kool, good luck!

so have you received your pr card or did you get any status update from them?

exactly the same issue. I sent the photos with supplementary identification form because I did not get the letter.

I dont know what happens next.

DID you recieve the PR after u sent the photos without getting the letter ?
