All ITA homies,
I recently checked the processing time page of CIC. For both PNPs and FSW ITA candidates, the processing time is 15 months. The status was last updated on 21st Jan 2016, and this gets updated weekly. However, they say at the bottom that

"Since Express Entry is a new system and not enough applications have been received yet, processing times are not available but we have committed to process the majority of applications in six months or less."

15 months is ridiculously too much ???... I dont think that possible because the number of invites are still below 1500, so why have they increased the processing time?

Need inputs from you guys.

Thanks
Akber

looks like its true.
Canadian Experience Class

Submitted online via Express Entry on or after January 1, 2015

15 month(s) ?
Once you have submitted a complete application package.
Last update: January 21, 2016 Updated weekly

Since Express Entry is a new system and not enough applications have been received yet, processing times are not available but we have committed to process the majority of applications in six months or less.

These processing times only apply to the federal part of the processing (at the visa office) once we have received the complete application. It does not include the time it takes for the province or territory to process the nomination certificate.

Processing times tell you how long it took Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to process applications in the past after receiving a complete application package. Processing times can vary, depending on how many applications CIC receives. Your application may be delayed if it’s not complete.

If it has been longer than the time shown since you applied, and you need more information concerning the status of your application, use the Case Specific Enquiry form.

It is not an error. Please read the above line once again. This is a typical CIC way of communicating. The processing times given is based on past pre-express entry application and for express entry they don't have enough data to publish processing times yet, but committed to clear a majority in 6 months or less.

Now what is new in that? We already knew this information.

lets see if this applies to candidates prior to 21 January or not xD - if this is an error anyone please call CIC and confirm. thanks :)

These are based on pre-Express Entry applications. With Express Entry, CIC is committed to six month or less processing times.
So don't freak out.

Some one told me that the last update of processing time showed 6 months. Now its showing 15 months. So thats enough for me to get freaked out. I still hope, that they clear all their 5 to 6 months backlogs

it did show 6 months previously, I have already checked!

yes I am %100 certain that the website used to shown the processing time as 6 months. This is very discouraging

EE is only active for 12 months so it cannot be 15 months, it must be an error.

Average times are calculated based on past completed applications, so it can't 15 months yet, since there no completed applications submitted through EE 15 months ago.

Let's wait and see.
