I have chronic pancreatitis for the past 10 years or so, as part of treatment I underwent a splenectomy too and I developed diabetes recently. I have no other problems from the condition as I manage diabetes with insulin. I donot take any enzymes and I am deemed medically fit for work. I donot have any other issues due to my condition as I led a normal life after the surgery and there is no pain so far. What are my chances to immigrate. I have the work experience and the English language ability. I have no other health related conditions.

Just make an appointment with a Panel Physician and tell them you want to book an Upfront Medical. There may be some delays due to COVID - what else is new.

just to add do not be tempted to hide your medical history from the physician carrying out the medical.

The Panel Physician doesn't make the determination, s/he just passes the results on to IRCC. But s/he may be able to indicate whether your results are likely or not to be a problem. That would be up to the doctor.

I understand that, thank you.

Are you hospitalized for your chronic pancreatitis or are there concerns of more loss of function of your pancreas? Those things will factor into the decision as well as the cost of insulin which is quite expensive. Will depend on your amount of insulin use.

Ok. Was a few years back but ever since my surgery I am doing good. Haven't had any hospitalizations since then. This illness is usually degenerative but the rate of progress can be controlled with good lifestyle management so let's see how it goes as of now I have no issues. Will look into insulin usage it's not too much as of now and I was told that medical expenses threshold was increased recently for immigrants.

Yes it is around 20k/year. If you haven’t had any hospitalizations in the past few years that will be helpful. You may be asked for that type of information.

No health issues or hospitalizations. Doing better after my surgery. My doctor here told me I don't require any other procedures.
