Yes, Immigration Medical Dr. will project the cost of the next 5 years, and if it is over $5600 per year average, then they will recommend refusal for excessive demand.

anyone know how long stage 3 to become stage 5 GFR is 54 he doesnt smoke and drink alcohol

What are the chances of him passing the medical?

Not very likely. This case on CanLII is about a sponsorship that was denied because the father had Stage III Chronic Kidney Disease. He was refused under Section 38(1)(c) on the grounds of excessive medical demand.

If you read the entire case, in spite of the judge's favourable evaluation of the appellant and her relationship with her family, he still declined to exercise his judicial discretion and find that there were sufficient H&C reasons to overturn the denial.

that man already has renal failure diabetes ckd stage 4 and the appellant didn't show interest on shouldering the cost of the treatment for her father

your dad has CKD stage 3 so he must have either Diabetes or Hypertension along with it.

On an average the time period to go from stage 3 to Stage 5 and ESRD is around 3-5 years...But it really depends on how much the diabetes or blood pressure ( which ever is the precipitating factor for CKD) is controlled.. for those patients whose DM and HTN is best controlled can extend this duration up to 5-7 or even up to 10 years. Uncontrolled diabetes and HTN adversely affects it and shortens the duration to reach to ESRD ( End Stage Renal Disease)... Most of CKD stage 3 patients eventually end up with ESRD and needs Renal Dialysis( which will be the important factor affecting the health service in Canada)

I have also a similar case with my husband. He has a stage 4 renal failure. My PR application was denied due to excessive demand from renal failure. I have applied this when I was single last 2010, I got approved Oct 2011 asking my passport. But we had a wedding last May 2011, so I have to declare my change status from single to married and then they have requested police clearance and medical along with the application form of my husband.

My PR application was denied last Nov 2013 due to excessive demand from renal failure. We are so sad, especially now that I am 7 months pregnant and desperate of what to do?!!!!

Does anybody know if we still have a chance to get this approved if we reapply??? or do I still have other options????

Your case sounds really upsetting. You have my utmost sympathy. It's not much, I know, but better than feeling like people are ignoring your post. :-(

I'm confused about who is the sponsor. Are either of you Canadian residents or citizens?

Because your husband is inadmissible due to medical reasons, I don't think he can apply as a skilled worker or other means because I believe (I could be wrong) that those other means of entering Canada also require a medical check. Have you thought about living with him in his country?

Unfortunately she is also inadmissible for PR due to her husband's medical condition.
It's very unfortunate since if she had just waited a few more months to get married, she could have landed as single to get her PR status, and then married and sponsored her husband under family class in which case he is exempt from excessive demand so medical issue would not have even been a factor.

after 30 months we recieved a fairness letter they predicted that he already has renal failure 15gfr has renal failure we test him again in the hospital its 34 gfr he's 72 yrs old will he be rejected?

Serum Creatinine 1.4. Will they refer me to a Nephrologist for further investigations? If so, what will be the investigations that I have to undergo for clearing CIC medical exam?

What kind of application? Parent / grandparent sponsorship? Spousal sponsorship?
