Hi all, quick question. As the subject states should small Christmas and Birthday gifts be mentioned in the Gift Deed? The total amount I'm talking about comes to $300 CAD.

You don't need any deed for such small amount. As I understand, we need to provide the deed to explain a source of fund that may otherwise seem suspicious. I am not sure whether there is any cut-off for "suspiciousness", but surely 300 CAD is well below that point.
