Hello guys,

I have done my 2 years education in BC, Canada and got my 3 years work permit. Currently, I live in Vancouver but am planning to move to a different province. So in terms of my PR, which province should I consider? Or does it make sense to live in BC itself since I have done my studies here so chances of getting my PR might be higher?

When you create your EE profile, you can check all the provinces you are interested to live in. If you are qualify for one of them, they will send you ITA. Most likely you have higher chance for BC nomination, but you also can move to other province if you wish to do so.

I was wondering how you got the 3 years PGWP and you only studied for two years !? ::)

The rule is if you do any 1 year program, you will get 1 year PGWP and if you study 2 years program, you will get 3 years PGWP.

I did 3 years and got 3 years & I thought you'll get same years as your education. It seems you can get 1 or 3-max years for PGWP.

Since you studied in BC you may be eligible for a nomination from BC (which would mean you should intend to reside in BC). That is probably the surest way for you to get an ITA.

You need to try to work out what you CRS score will be as soon as you're eligible for EE (if you have foreign work exp this may be now under FSW if not it may be in 12 months time under CEC) if it's high then perhaps you don't need to worry about nomination...

The only place not advisable is Quebec as they don't work with EE, but you could still go there and apply using their system if so wish... its all about figuring out where you want to go vs where will give you the most points or best chance of getting a PR.
