Choosing NOC Code---Pls. help

Dear Experts,

I am a computer engineer...I have done some software projects in the beginning of my job in a manufacturing company...Currenty my designation is In-Charge of IT department. This is my first job since July 2005. My promotions in this company are as follows:

1. Executive --July 2005 - June 2006
2. Sr. Executive---July 2006 - June 2007
3. In-Charge (Equivalent to Asst. Manager) --- July 2007 to till date.

I have completed graduation in Computer Science and Engineering. Currently i m pursuing MBA degree major in IT. I require your help for choosing the appropriate NOC code whether I shall select Computer and Information systems manager or as an software engineer.

Hi Koushik

Besides your qualification, what is more vital for choosing the NOC is the nature of duties that you have been performing. And, here too, your own declaration is not enough. If your employer can list your actual duties in their communication, it would carry more weight.

Dear Mehta,

My responsibilities were software development and system support when i was in the Executive level (first 2 years). Now I am carrying out following responsibilities as an In-Charge of IT department:

1. consult with top management in order to help determine both technical and business goals and policies
2. direct the work of computer programmers, support specialists, and other computer-related workers;
3. Manage backup, security and user help systems.
4. Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
5. Control operational budget and expenditures.
6. Develop computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery.
