If I decide to study in Canada and choose a Masters Program. When I arrive and if I feel this is not the right progam then can I do a diploma from a college. If yes then what happens to study permit.
Thank you for your reply. Last question, I am 38 right now. Do you think my student visa will be rejected?
I think I should apply for Masters and then try to get student visa. If I apply for a diploma from a college (even if it supports PGWP) the immigration officer can reject me as he/she may think I am applying on to stay here or get PR. (I last completed my masters in 2005).

i think it depends on if you can convince the vo that you really need to study the program in Canada, not to stay in canada after graduation, but to help your career in your home country.
I mean yes you are playing the system but its possible. You will still need to get accepted into a Master's program though and they will usually require a desposit fee that you will never see again
Last question is if I continue with my masters then no problem as after its done I will get 3 years PGWP. However if I shift and do 1 year diploma then what will happen because as per degree I will be given 2 years study permit. Anyway even if I do a diploma I plan on doing 1 more diploma of 1 year so that I get 3 years PGWP.
