Choosing course period year and month.

While filling express entry profile, in education section how an applicant suppose to choose the starting MONTH of the course and ending MONTH along with years.?

A person did a full time 3 year bachelor degree course from 2010 to 2013 and got his degree awarded on March 2013 (date as per final degree certificate)
How he should give the course period month. Is it based on attendence ? Or on the basis of final degree certificate. ie, completed on March 2013...so from the beginning of March 2010 to the end of March 2013, a total of 3yrs.

However if it's on the basis of attendance, in many cases classes or actual admission won't start during the month of march. It will only start on July or August. So how can one choose it?

For your Express Entry profile, the FROM/ TO dates you need to include for a course are the dates you physically attended classes in your College / University. For ex. if you attend three terms Fall 2018 ( Sept-December), Winter 2019 (Year Jan-April) and Summer 2019 (May-August) - then you attended classes from September 2018 to August 2019. Your convocation may take place in November 2019 so your Degree may say November 2019 - but that has no relevance to the Start/ End dates of the course. It is also understood that a degree is granted within 90 days of course completion.
